As a new mom, I was shocked how few gay people were involved in the local moms and parenting groups. Now that my son is a toddler, I am hoping to find other gay parents to get together with for child friendly activities, playgroups, etc. This group is open to families with two moms, two dads, and single gay parents.

I started this group because there are virtually no social groups in the Sacramento area that are transgender friendly. … I've been actively participating in Ren/Celtic Faires for over 2 years & only met 2 others that are gay that participate.  I know there are others but with a surprisingly conservative atmosphere, it is difficult to connect with others at faire.  I created this group to create a gay Ren community so that we can feel more comfortable  in this very straight world of Ren faire.
